Playing with a cheap and nasty router (the Mentor ADSL-FR4II), I picked up for sharing the network connection in our hotel at Def Con, highlights a number of fuck^H^H^H^Hmistakes by their developers. These include undocumented ports open, the lack of any default password, susceptibility to DoS attacks and plain text storage of passwords. It's not bad from a feature perspective and as long as you're aware of the vulnerabilities, it's quite a useful little box.
