Given the news from Tenable regarding future releases of Nessus no longer being GPLd, we've started a fork over on the GNessUs web site. After modifying the code to remove the dependencies on nessus.org, I published a call for participation last night to largely positive response. I'm aware of 3 other forks at the current time, including a rewrite in C#, a German effort which is looking to merge with us and a so far undisclosed fork with whom I'm hoping to make contact.

Work on the Windows CE port scanner and my SQL injection tool in continuing and both will be checked into the CVS repository as soon as I'm happy that the code is suitably polished. I'm not sure when this will be given the news above, but rest assured my efforts here.

Finally, the vulnerabilities in Movable Type have been now been published. They're still in the queue at Bugtraq and Secunia's write up largely missed the point however the original advisories are now available.
